Settled in 1783 by the British Admiral, Sir Robert Digby, and a hearty band of United Empire Loyalists, Digby has been an active fishing community throughout the years. Famous for it's delicious scallops, Digby has one of the largest scallop fleets in the world. The town sits on the shores of the beautiful Annapolis Basin and provides visitors with many and varied points of interest. Blessed with mild weather and the highest tides in the world, Digby awaits your visit.

Directions to The Breakers:

From Yarmouth Ferry, visitors take Highway 101 east to Exit 26, turn left and proceed 2.5 miles to the historic Digby Waterfront. (1 hour drive.)

From Halifax International Airport, take Highway 102 to Highway 101 West, proceed to Exit 26, turn right and continue 2.5 miles to the historic Digby Waterfront (2 1/2 hour drive.)
